Kensington Karate School is a satellite club (dojo) of Karate-Zen International and also have links to Martial Art Schools abroad, such as Waterford Martial Arts in Ireland.

Our school has been in existence for over 20 years and from our humble beginnings we have produced quality students. In 2007 alone, 5 of our students made it to the Karate South Africa Championships in Port Elizabeth and we came away with 5 medals. We had four students who competed in the Karate Common Wealth Games in Scotland May 2008, with one student returning with a silver medal in kata and who is currently the Commonwealth Champion in her division for kumite, having won a gold medal at the event which was held at the Standard Bank arena in October 2009.

Our mission is to use the Martial Art as a vehicle to assist individuals and communities to develop to their full potential, i.e Physically, Intellectually, Emotionally, Spiritually and Mentally. We endeavour to give our students the highest possible quality of protection, tuition, skill, knowledge, attitude, guidance, creativity and competitive edge.
