Tour to Portugal

In September 2010, two of our students, Tharwah Hendricks and Saliegah Pandey together with Sensei Liezl were part of the South African Team to represent our country at the First World Goju Ryu Championships in Cascais, Portugal. With over 40 countries in attendance, it was really special to be part of such an auspicious event. Although the competitions was tough and on a completely different level,  Tharwah Hendricks and Sahliegah Pandey both came home with bronze medals. One of the highlights of the trip for the South African team was winning the bid to host the 2^nd World Goju-Ryu Championships in 2013.

New World Ashihara Champ

In October 2010, Ebrahim Abrahams competed in the Ashihara World Championsips hosted in Cape Town, South Africa.  Although not a regular participant in that format of competition, he won his kata division.
